PostHeaderIcon Food Stains

Vinegar is probably the best carpet cleaning agent in the world for food stains. I don’t know why people spend so much money for spray cleaners when vinegar will do the job just fine without extra costs. And if vinegar doesn’t work, rubbing alcohol almost always does.

Vinegar and rubbing alcohol are common household items, so they don’t cost extra. Of course, there is a downside. Both of these products require a bit of elbow grease, and they need to be reapplied multiple times.

So if you don’t have a lot of time, try water, dish soap, and ammonia. Some water in a bowl with a dash of dish soap and a bit of ammonia will go a LONG way. And unlike the dabbing action used to remove stains with spray cleaners, you can scrub away with this stuff as hard as you want. Just a little bit will get that stain out, and I recommend rinsing the area with a bit of water and drying it with a towel afterwards.
