PostHeaderIcon It Won't Come Out

I know that carpet stains can seem impossible to get out, especially if you’ve tried all of the typical household remedies and they don’t work. If you’ve gone through vinegar, salt, dish soap, ammonia, water, lemon juice, and the like, chances are that you don’t want to even think about the stain anymore.

Unfortunately, you’ll have to. Unless you want to just cut out that piece of carpet like Mark Erickson recommends, you’ll need to get the stain out soon. And the sooner the better for many types of stains, right?

If household items aren’t working, you will need to pick up some basic stain remover from the store. Now don’t worry; stain removers aren’t all based on chemical warfare. There are many green cleaners and non-toxic sprays that you can try.

The most important thing is to get something you’re comfortable with, and make sure that your spray cleaner doesn’t contain bleach… unless you have white carpets. Try an environmentally friendly, pet friendly cleaner and you should be fine.
